Virginia governor announces plans to take down Robert E. Lee Confederate statue in Richmond

Virginia Governor Ralph Northam announces plans to take down the statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee in Richmond. The city’s mayor, Levar Stoney, will move to take down other Confederate monuments this summer. Anthony Mason visited Richmond in December when artist Kehinde Wiley put up his own response to those monuments, the “Rumors of War” statue. Source
