How whirling dervishes use spinning to connect with God

For our World of Worship series, we head to Turkey, where whirling is a form of prayer. Whirling dervishes are Sufi Muslims, followers of a school of Islamic practice that’s famous for its spiritualism and its tolerance. Most dervishes are men, but women and even non-Muslims also whirl.
