Hurricane Dorian is jeopardizing South Carolina’s crumbling coastline. When the tide starts rising along the coast, even on a normal day, the water goes over the sidewalk. Now, with Dorian on the way, all of the state’s coast is under storm surge watches or warnings, and a high tide of more than 10 feet is projected for Thursday. Nearly 250,000 people have left, rather than face up to seven feet of storm surge. Jamie Yuccas reports. Source
