30,000 Los Angeles school workers go on strike over support workers’ pay

More than 500,000 students in Los Angeles, the country’s second-largest school district, are home from school because of a three-day strike. Some 30,000 support staff are leading the strike, and 35,000 teachers are joining them in solidarity in the fight for higher salaries. Chris Evans reports. Source
