Crossville – “Taco Tuesday” Bicycle Riding Club Every Tuesday meet at the Cumberland County Bank parking lot from 6:00pm-7:00pm. To promote bicycle riding, there’s a group called “Taco Tuesday”. The group meets every Tuesday weather permitting and ride for roughly an hour. Afterwards the group meets for dinner (Dutch Treat) at the Casa Grande Restaurant located on the Miller Avenue Bypass. The riders consist of mixed skill set, from beginners to advanced riders, young (age 11) and old (age 66) male and female. Course Description:

By countering opioid addiction negative attitudinal perceptions “stigma” the community can develop a broader understanding of opioid dependence as a chronic brain disease, categorized by long-term changes in the structure and functioning of the brain, and enhanced awareness of models of care, family support and principals of community engagement.
By the end of the training participants will be able to:
Attitudinal perceptions “stigma” of opioid addiction: Enhance knowledge of the disease of addiction, and heighten awareness of attitudinal perceptions associated with people living with opioid addiction

The Upper Cumberland Quilt Festival returns to Algood for its 31st year . Taking place at five different locations in the community, the festival includes more than 500 unique quilts, quilted products and needlework art pieces on display. Festival-goers will also have the opportunity to attend a live history presentation at the White Plains House, as well as demonstrations and workshops on spinning, weaving, hand quilting and more.

Herel’s Honey is returning with local honey.
Enjoy a free bluegrass concert at the Sparta Amphitheater on Liberty Square immediately following the Market at 7PM. Sparta Green Market encourages everyone to support downtown Sparta businesses, enjoy the free entertainment, educational booths, locally grown meat, veggies, fruit, honey, flowers, eggs, and much more.

He is known for using bold colors and expressive brushstrokes to convey a sense of joy and excitement in his paintings. He is a retired educator with over 37 years of experience teaching elementary through college level art. There is also an exhibit featuring ceramics with fascinating shapes and textures by Louis and Christine Colombrarini. The artists will be there Friday night, the 20th from 5-7 to meet and greet the public.
